Communications, Support, and Logistics Contacts
The Communications, Support, and Logistics staff with the North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) provide internal operational, administrative, technical, and logistical support for statewide fire and rescue programs, training initiatives, emergency response operations, and agency communications. Staff work closely with OSFM divisions and personnel to support coordination efforts, resource management, technology systems, public information, equipment and facility support, website administration, graphic design, photography, videography, GIS services, data analytics, and day-to-day operational functions that help ensure the effectiveness and continuity of agency operations across North Carolina.
Adam Blythe serves as the Communications Supervisor and GIS/Data Specialist. He supervises the communications team and provides leadership, operational support, and technical oversight for communications, GIS, data management, and reporting initiatives across OSFM. He assists with database management, GIS mapping, analytics, dashboard development, and data-driven communications supporting statewide programs, operations, and decision-making.

Chris Decker serves as the Website Manager and Graphic Designer. He manages the OSFM website and assists with website content development, digital communications, and graphic design supporting training, certification, qualification testing, and other Fire and Rescue Services initiatives.

Shane Palmer provides logistics and operational support for OSFM programs, events, and statewide initiatives. He assists with equipment coordination, facility and event support, and operational readiness to help ensure the successful delivery of programs and services. He also serves as a photographer and videographer supporting documentation, training, and promotional efforts for programs and events across the state.
