In addition, Commissioner Causey, who is also the State Fire Marshal, will be distributing grant checks to some of the state’s neediest fire departments in Robeson, Bladen and Columbus counties.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey on Tuesday will honor first Chief Danny Wilson for his 46 years of service to the Huntsville Volunteer Fire Department.
Commissioner Causey, in his role as State Fire Marshal, will present the Order of the Guardian Award during a ceremony at the Huntsville Volunteer Fire Department, at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9. The Huntsville Volunteer Fire Department is located at 1133 Sardis Church Road, Madison, N.C. 27025.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey who is also the state fire marshal will distribute approximately $106,000 in grants to six Person County fire departments on Wednesday, Oct.6. He will also announce new ratings for three departments.
The presentation will take place at 3 p.m.in the auditorium of the Person County Office building, 304 S. Morgan St., Roxboro, N.C. 27573.
Grant checks will be presented to the Allensville, Hurdle Mills, Moriah, Timberlake, Triple Springs and the Ceffo volunteer fire and rescue departments.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey will visit Stanly and Rowan counties on Monday, Oct. 4, where he will announce the new insurance rating for the town of Landis, present ceremonial grant checks totaling more than $175,000 to volunteer fire departments and distribute fire prevention coloring books for firefighters to give out to children.
Commissioner Causey, who is also the State Fire Marshal, will announce the new rating for Landis at 2 p.m. Monday at the Landis Fire Department, 136 N. Central Ave., Landis N.C. 28088.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey on Monday will honor a Davie County first responder who recently retired after providing 32 years of service to his community.
Commissioner Causey, who is also the State Fire Marshal, will also deliver more than $463,000 in grant checks to fire departments in Davidson, Davie and Rowan counties during the day.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey will speak during a service at the former Imperial Foods memorial site on the 30th anniversary of the tragedy on Friday, Sept. 3.
Commissioner Causey, who is also the State Fire Marshal, will be joined by Chief State Fire Marshal Brian Taylor in addressing the families and friends of those who died on Sept. 3, 1991. The Imperial Foods Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the corner of Bridges and Spear streets, Hamlet. In addition, Dr. Tommy Legrand will give the invocation and offer remarks.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey plans to present Sampson County Fire Marshal Jerry Cashwell with the Commissioner’s Award during a retirement celebration in Clinton on Thursday, Aug. 26.
Commissioner Causey, who is the State Fire Marshal, will also present ceremonial grant checks, totaling more than $201,000, to 15 volunteer fire departments while in Sampson County. The checks are part of a statewide matching grant program providing more than $9.8 million to 554 volunteer fire departments.
