State Fire Marshal to deliver state budget checks with legislators Monday Commissioner will visit Rowan and Guilford counties during an afternoon tour

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey, who also serves as the State Fire Marshal, will deliver checks to four fire departments in Rowan County and one in Guilford County during afternoon visits on Monday, Oct. 31. The purpose of the visits are to deliver funds included in the state budget by the legislature to fire department representatives.

Sen. Dave Craven will join Commissioner Causey for an early afternoon appearance at the Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire District in Greensboro to deliver a $50,000 check.

Sen. Carl Ford will join the commissioner at the Rowan County Agriculture Extension Office in Salisbury later that afternoon. Checks will be presented to the East Gold Hill Fire Department ($50,000)
the Miller’s Ferry Road Fire Department ($75,000), the Rowan-Iredell Fire Department ($50,000) and the West Rowan Volunteer Fire Department ($100,000) during the visit.
