The North Carolina Emergency Training Center (NCETC) delivers high-impact, scenario-based training to prepare emergency responders for the complex challenges they face in the field. Whether you're re-certifying or building new skills, NCETC offers realistic, hands-on instruction designed to meet national standards and support mission readiness.
Currently Offered Course
FAA 139 Re-Certification Live Fire Training
Duration: One day
Tuition: Free for North Carolina-based participants; out-of-state fee available upon request
This course provides live fire training in compliance with FAA FAR Part 139 requirements. It focuses on turret and handline control for managing simulated aircraft fuel spill fires. Students operate ARFF vehicles with roof-mounted turrets and use handlines in Class B fire scenarios.
Prerequisites:
Current certification as an Aircraft Rescue Firefighter (Basic ARFF)
Physical ability to wear SCBA and perform demanding tasks
Group Training:
We welcome group sessions for eight or more participants. Custom scheduling and instruction are available upon request.
