Commissioner Causey to honor battalion chief with Commissioner’s Award in Henderson

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey will honor Battalion Chief Doug Owen with a commissioner’s award during a special presentation in Henderson on Tuesday, October 31.

Commissioner Causey, who is also the State Fire Marshal, will present that award to Battalion Chief Owen for over 33 years of service. Chief Owen will retire on Tuesday.

“Battalion Chief Owen has worked his way up through the ranks and is well respected in his department,” Commissioner Causey said. “I’m proud to present him with this special award.”
