This morning a post was issued by David Wheeler, which inaccurately stated that Brian Taylor, the NC State Fire Marshal, formally endorsed David Wheeler for Commissioner of Insurance. Subsequently, it was realized that this statement was made in error. A written request was promptly issued to retract the post. The State Fire Marshal is not permitted to endorse any individual seeking political office.
