This re-qualification is required for all currently qualified TR Ropes and TR Vehicle instructors. NC OSFM is excited to announce a first-time grant opportunity aimed at supporting existing summer camp programs offered by fire departments across our state. The goal is to provide financial assistance to help fire departments foster the next generation of firefighters while enhancing community engagement and safety. This grant opportunity is made possible through a partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina.Purpose: The grant aims to provide funding support to fire departments in North Carolina that run summer fire camp programs.
The Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) announces the continuation and enhancement of the "Firefighters' Health Benefits Pilot Program" as the North Carolina Firefighter Cancer Benefit Program, effective January 1, 2024.
